I would like to start by passing on my eternal gratitude to you all for your support and contribution over the course of the year 2021. This goes out to the team, partners and clients. 2021 has shone a spotlight on Vaakenya as well as made in Kenya products and it has been largely due to you guys. To our partner manufacturer, contract manufacturers, and the entire informal sector your contributions too haven’t gone unnoticed, and for that we thank you. Your dedication to your craft, the hours you put in to ensure our clients’ orders have been fulfilled have gone a long way in putting Vaakenya and made in Kenya products on the map. Thank you for working with us and may your cup never run dry.

Growing together has always been a key aspect of my vision as a leader. Together we have made significant steps in ensuring this dream comes to pass and the first step has been the inception of VaaCredit, a loan system that will help artisans and small businesses through tough times. It is our hope that the growth and maturity of VAAcredit will help support and foster growth under our umbrella brand, Vaakenya.

To the members of staff, thank you for working hard and staying strong. Despite the challenges of the year you have risen up and maintained our values of hard work, sacrifice, and love. Keep taking care of each other. These are the values that make working in Vaakenya special. Here we build something special every day.

To my shareholders and partners, thank you very much for supporting our vision. Your advice on what paths best to take has been invaluable. Thank you for your guidance and mentorship through the choppy waters that have been the year 2021and for keeping the faith.

And to our clients, you are the one that has brought us all together. Without you, we would not exist. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to fulfill the company’s core value, dignifying African feet. We keep you in our hearts as we celebrate Christmas this year and we hope that you and your family have all the happiness in the world.
